In vinyl flooring diversity exists and the types are as follows:
When the following are the requirements of your floor coverings:
then commercial and domestic sheet vinyl is the answer that best addresses your problem.
Vinyl's hygiene qualities arise out of its ease of cleaning and absence of joins or joins that are vinyl-like and have the same properties as vinyl. The flat, waterproof surface that doesn't have any cracks and crevices isn't conducive for bacteria, moisture and mould to grow.
Vinyl creates a healthy interior living space which is important as today as people spend the bulk of their time indoors. If the air quality is high in the interior spaces of our homes or commercial offices, then when we breathe it, it will contribute to our well being. Vinyl floors are user friendly and hygienic, because they are simple to clean. In turn all this creates a healthy home or wholesome office environment.
Commercial vinyls and domestic vinyls are different species of materials even though they have similarities. The above two photos shows an entire office block, in La Trobe Street, Melbourne 3000, having commercial vinyl installed by Concord Floors which is work that Concord Floors specializes in. The first photo shows the vinyl installation process in motion, and the second photo the completed commercial vinyl installation. This commercial vinyl is glued to the concrete substrate floor and cannot move and scrumch up when it has table legs and chairs legs pulled across it. This is important in this particular job application as this very large room is filled with tables and chairs as it is a lunch room for many workers. This commercial vinyl is stiff and hard and doesn't indent under heavy point loads. The manufacturer supplies the vinyl in slabs of 20 metres in length and 2 metres in width, rolled up into a compact roll.
Domestic sheet vinyl comes in slabs of 2 metres or 3 metres or 4 metres in width and lengths of approximately 35 metres, but can be less. This means any room under 4 metres in width can have the vinyl sheet in one piece, that is a seamless floor (provided the vinyl doesn't need cutting for fitting reasons). However where the vinyl needs to be joined it isn't a problem. As vinyl is a waterproof membrane it is installed in wet areas like bathrooms, kitchens and laundries. Spills on the vinyl flooring in these wet areas are successfully mopped up. In laying the vinyl, these days it is loose laid, that is not glued to the floor. Consequently, dragging items of furniture without lifting the furniture above the vinyl, normally results in the vinyl tearing. Care must be taken in the usage of the vinyl. Domestic residential vinyl isn't as strong as commercial vinyl.
This vinyl is normally 2-3mm in thickness and 1800-2000mm in width. The rolls are normally 20-25 metres in length.
All the vinyl classes exude a feel and style when one looks at them.

This vinyl is normally 2-3mm in thickness and 1800-2000mm in width. The rolls are normally 20-25 metres in length. The surface texture is a very important feature of the vinyl
and is labelled as the slip resistance index. The index is usually specified when the vinyl is utilized is wet area spaces such as bathrooms and kitchens.
It is common practice to glue this vinyl to the underlaying substrate that receives the vinyl. If the substrate is the actual concrete floor then particular attention must be given to the smoothness of the concrete floor's surface. If it is too rough it must be smoothed out by the application of self-levelling compounds such as ardit. If the substrate is particle board or timber, again the surface must be smooth. This can be done by planning down the uneven edges or and fastening masonite or cement sheeting to the floor surface and right throughout the floor. This emphises on smoothness is caused by the fact that if a grain of sand if left underneath an installed commercial vinyl floor it will be noticeable to an observer's eye and be an eye soar. The cost of levelling the floor is a major component of the cost of the overall job.
commercial sheet vinyl can be coved up a wall and normally in wet areas such as kitchens and bathrooms this is what happens. The coving height up the wall is 150mm.
Instead of gluing tiles to the show screen wall one can glue commercial wall vinyl. This vinyl is 2mm in thickness.
